Default P0420 code

I need to replace the cat on my 04 ram 4.7, my questions are
A. do I need to replace both bank converters at the same time even if bank 2 is not throwing code.
B. Which after market cats work best with my engine, dont want to continye getting engine light problems.

Magnaflow makes some high flow cats, cheaper than factory replacements as well. I would replace both sensors...... you want consistency between banks, as the sensors age, they do not react as quickly.

You could post in the 3rd gen ram sections for more suggestions on cats as well.

Thanks for getting back, Ok I heard that magnaflow was one cat that worked with Dodge. I asked if I needed to replace both cats at the same time, you said you suggest replacing both sensors that I want consistency between banks, doesnt that mean i should change both cats as well ?, and if the sensor indeed could be bad and should be replaced with the cat, then maybe I should replace the O2 sensors first, I still have not done the temperature check for the cat.
