Brake pedal moves side to side
I was told it would be $700 for the parts. Threw a self tapper in it. Mine are the adjustable as well.
Hose clamp was to keep it from sliding all the way forward before the screw and no longer needs to be there.
This is an awesome quick permanent fix to a very stupid, nasty, pesky little dodge problem. Yes, it does stop the adjustable pedals from working but hell I’ve never used that garbage since day one. Thank you I’m eternally greatful.
Hello
I have the same issue on my 2006 3500 MegaCab Laramie SRW. Thank you to everyone that replied and made a history of this for people like me to read.. did anyone ever come up with something other than a self tapping screw, bungy cord, or find a kit?
I never use the self adjuster.. I have owned the truck since two years old, and never knew it had it until I found this thread, and realized that’s what the little toggle button was.
I see someone above suggested to open it up and find a someone to make a bushing.. I’m wondering if I should do that and have it made out a better bushing material.. like bronze or? Did anyone try this?
thanks.
