4.7 wont start

Default 4.7 wont start

hi i have a 03 ram 1500 4 door with a 4.7 had engine rebuilt one year ago been running like a champ a few days ago while driving i heard what sounded like a backfire truck died and have not been able to start. i checked codes read bad cam sensor replaced no luck. checked codes again said crank sensor replaced it now says bad oil sending unit will not start. checked spark at coil with spark tester no spark is getting voltage to coil pack . anyone have any suggestions.

Just a guess but sounds like a timing issue. It sounds like all those could be caused by timing but I don't know how to test it.

Had similar problem with my '02 4.7 a few years back. After chasing sensors for a week I found that multiple pins on the PCM had rotted out. As i recall I had 12v in but a 5v out pin was rotted which was the power to the sensors?? Its been a few years. If you unplug the connectors to the PCM it will be obvious if any pins are rotted out. I was able to cut out the back of the PCM an solder wires to the circuit board and splice them in to the harness. Then sealed the PCM with liquid electrical tape. Been running great for about 4 years now.
