Our driveline guy laughed pretty good about it.
We did discuss the probability of it working. Problem is how to keep the fluid inside the shaft when it flat on the balance machine and not have it run out or boil when the yokes are being welded on.
They are welded on the balance machine to also check for being true straight.
Also, driveshafts are never truly horizontal so all the fluid would be at one end. Except under acceleration or deceleration. As you can imagine.
It would never truly work. Good in concept.
And it would all leak out if you got a hole in the shaft and the fluid is extremely harmful to the environment.
Lol.

What, there's a recall out there?

Yes, it does not affect your year, but most dealership should have experience dealing with the differential or at least checking the torque on the pinion nut. The service manual procedure for replacing the pinion seal calls for measuring the rotational torque before you remove the pinion nut. I think many individuals plus probably a lot of mechanics will short cut this by removing the nut and trying to return the nut the same number of turns.

Does the serv. manual show how to replace just the seal and not the whole pinion bearing assembly? If so, the dealer might be willing to just the min. needed and not an $800 ordeal
