when i drive over 50 mph and hit a deep pot hole or bump the whole truck feels like its going to move to the next lane . its a 1500 and i dont have have a track bar like the 2500s do . so if anyone has an idea what it could be please let me know.

 

Welcome to DF. Start by inspecting the front end components for wear. Moving to the correct section.

 

Ball joints/alignment.

 

Bad Rack

 

could be: Tie rod ends/ inner and outer, ball joints, control arm bushings. Wheel bearings, bad rack or tires are getting old. Take your pick. I've replaced all of them and finally got my truck to drive nice

 

Mine was doing the same, hit a pothole or or even a bump in the road, and off I went. After going through everything like stated in previous posts and finding nothing wrong, I ended up replacing the factory rear shocks and adding a Helwig sway bar. Made a huge difference. No more bouncing into the opposite lane for this Ram!

 

and do them all at once before new tires & alignment

 

Thanks i had the truck in for inspection so i told my mechanic to check the front. End rack ball joints tie rods ect.he said all good i hope the rear shocks are the cause were did you get the sway bar and what shocks?

 

Monroe Gas Magnum Shocks and Hellwig 7651 rear sway bar. Got them both at Streetside Auto.com. Very Happy.
