Default 2002 Dodge Ram 4.7L question

Hi Guys,

I have a blown motor in my Ram, I'm looking around for replacement motors and am wondering if a 2001 4.7L will work in a 2002? I know a lot of guys tend to go with the 2003 Hemi swap but I don't know if I have the time to do it. I need the truck running again by the end of the month.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

How many miles did the motor have on it and what exactly happened to it?

The motor has around 340K on it. Dealer over revved the motor and blew the timing chain guides and a head gasket, after tearing it down I found a valve had hit a piston as well.

If the dealer over-revved it, why aren't they fixing it?

340k? I wouldn't even be mad, that's impressive!
