i am running a k&N cold air intake on my ram with a true RAM air hood by sun coast. i was told it was actually better to run the stock intake, does anyone know if this is true? or have any other options?

 

I should be receiving my K&N drop-in tomorrow. What you heard, I heard as well on my Durango. Something about the metal on the tube of the CAI heating up the air, so it's not really doing any good. The stock intake being plastic, acts as an insulator and keeps the air cooler.
