tow hooks question

My buddy has a 06 2500. Does anyone know if the tow hooks on his truck will work on my 07 1500

2500 is different than 1500. They have 2 differnt hooks where as the 1500 is one bar with 2 hooks welded. They have different mounting hardware. I have heard people retro-fitting 2500 hooks on a 1500 but it's a BAD idea because the 1500 single bar boxes in the frame so it's much more solid.

Also,
2002-2005 1500 is different than 2006-2008 1500.
