Do fender flares cause rust?
My 05 ram has NO rust anywhere and i want to keep it that way, lol. I bought new pocket style fender flares and they came with plastic pop through screws as well as self tapping screws. I dont want to cause rust to start so how do i prep the holes after i drill them so rust wont start? Should i drill holes then buy new plastic pop through screws so that i dont have to use self tapping screws? Do i need to use touch up paint on the metal after drilling holes? Also do flares need to be taken off every 6 months or so to clean out from behind them and prevent rust?

You can return them and get the double sided stick one's like factory. Maybe not as hot, but still allows that extra room for tire width.
That brings me to my next question....Do you have wider tires than stock? If not, then those pocket style flares will dwarf your tires and look a bit funny.

rust
I live in ny and every dodge 08 an older here either has rust or has been repaired. I wash my 07 thoroughly inside and out underneath everywhere and it has the typical dodge rust. Anyone know do they make a replacement panel for the wheel wells. If not it would be a good money maker.
