Ok so tonight i removed the AC condensor fan shroud so i can replace the fan motor. I unbolted the condensor from the shroud and managed to get the shroud out. Then i notice this sensor hangin, it come from the same harness that has the power for the fan. I do a google search on the part number and it is the "Ambient Temperature Sensor". My question is doesn anyone know where or how it mounts? I didnt notice it until i got the shroud out. I am guessing it might be connected or bolted to either the shroud mounting bolts or the shroud to condensor bolt. My repair manual does not even mention this sensor. Any help would be appreciated. The truck is a 2003 Ram, 5.7 ltr

It's held on by one of the bolts holding the driver's side headlight assembly.

 

You can just see it mounted here. Bottom right of pick near headlight.

 

Kinda hard to see, but there's a white circle around it at the bottom of the driver side headlight. This is how 03-08 have it; 02 is an oddball with it mounted under the hood.

 

thanks guys, I don't know how it got bumped off, I found it lying basically under the radiator. I ended up bolting it too the core support before I saw the pics, ill change it this weekend.
