Can someone give some good advice on lift kits and tires. I have a 2008 ram bighorn 4x4 Quad cab with stock 20" tires. I wanna go a little higher with either 33's or better yet 35's, using the stock wheels. What kind and what size lift should I be looking at and also tires that aren't to aggressive that hum to much but yet have a good look to them? Are these lifts hard on other suspension components and or other drive train parts? Im a novice at this as you can tell. Also if you have any advice on fender flares that look good on this body style I sure could use some guidance with those too. I plan on painting those white, same as the truck.

 

I have a 2inch level in the front and I have Cooper STT 35" tires and they fit fine. No rubbing or problems. Just letting you know if you want to save a significant amount of money there.

 

Lift kits aren't hard on suspension. Its the larger tires. Also ball joints, u joints, wheel bearings. And gas mileage will also suffer.

 

O.K. so any suggestions on kit brands. Im told just a leveling kit will allow me to down the road put 35's on this truck. SO I start searching leveling kits and find ones list +2" front, 2 in front 1" in rear, 3" in front 2 in rear??? Im lost. I want a slight lift with the front leveling out with rear. nothing major like 5" or 6 ". I plan on running the stock rims and tires til next summer then getting the tires and putting them on stock rims. Also I need some good advice on fender flares soon if possible as she has slight surface cancer starting on the typical dodge aeas and its going in for body work in 2 weeks so wanna get flares and have those painted also and installed. Any preferances

 

i put bilstien leveling struts in my truck ( 2 1/2") truck sits level, put
a set of 20x12 fuel havoks with -44 offset and 35x12.50 dick cepek tires wich added another 1 1/2 to 2" of over all lift

I am wanting to lift my 05 dodge ram 1500 bit its only 2wd and I don't take it off reading much but I really want it just for looks, what are yalls opinion?

Its a pocket style fender looking good at white ram or better looking bushwacker fender flares.
