thinking of changing plugs and wires on 2002 5.7 ,any ideas of what kind of plugs and wires to get for the best results?

 

Is it an '02 or an '03? Is it a Hemi or a 5.9L? A 5.7 is a Hemi. In '02 the Hemi wasn't available. Someone could have put a Hemi in your truck before you got it. Anyway, the Champion plugs that came in it are the best ones to put in it. Autozone can help you with that at the counter. Don't get the expensive gold or platinum plugs get the basic Champions. Any wires will do fine.

 

Some 2002s got Hemi mills. mk9, do the plug wires/boots go through the valve cover? If so, that's the Hemi. NGK 5306s in both my Hemis. I put MSD 8.2mm wires on my Ram.

 

Hemi was a 2003 mid year intro. No 2002 has one unless the owner put it there. OEM is fine for stock.
