Question P0500 error Replaced both VSS. lights are still on.

2003 dodge ram 1500 5.9 SLT No speedo and ABS and Emergency Brake lights are on.
So far I have replaced the ECM, Fuse box ,FCM. Replace both VSS . Replaced ignition switch. Look at the ABS gear in the rear end and its fine.I have cleaned up all the grounds.
I`m wondering if anyone has had this problem Any help would be greatly appreciated ... Please and Thanks

Yeah, with the trouble codes and the flow charts/pin outs for the ABS system.

Look and see if the wires to the speed sensor got damaged. The tone ring could also be broken. Its inside the read diff.

Unhappy NO communication

OBDll reader says the truck is not set up for ABS communication .
fuses are fine. I replaced the hole fuse box with another 1 and still have the lights on.

You have to have more than just a generic OBDII scan tool.

IF, indeed that one you have is supposed to read ABS and it cannot, then you have a communication issue with your ABS module. I would get someone with a good scan tool to verify that is the case.

Question My issues were

It ended up being the plug for the ABS unit. I unplugged it and saw the second pin was corroded . I installed a used ABS unit from a wrecking yard and I still had my ABS light flashing so I took it back to the dealer to flash the new ABS unit to the truck`s ECM. I did that now I`m getting hard codes 82&83.
I have the same tires and did n`t change anything other then the ABS . I think the dealer ship is just wasting my time and money.
Where to start now?
Thanks a lot ........

Oh wow, ok. The connector that's right by the fender on the drivers side?

They are prone to corrosion, but I didn't even think to touch on that because we don't get rusty or salty cars in TN. I've seen a couple that were really bad though.

They have to do a "Module Service Replacement" in the ABS scan tool menu. They can't just do Pinion Factor by itself. It won't take on a new module because you have to force it to trade VINs with the PCM. Only "module replacement" choice does that.

But then again, a used one may make more problems that what they fix.
