I have a 4.7L and if you got a V6 to race you must be crazy and the only reason you were able to beat his truck is because either he did not know how to drive his truck or he just felt bad for you and let you! I would love to have a V6 pull up beside me and try to race cause I would laugh and role my window back up!

Seriously I think anybody that gets these trucks, unless its the V10 and trys to race them on the drag strip is really wasting their time! I have the 3.7 and its great I have loved it from the first day I drove it off the lot brand new! To anybody that thinks the V6 is underpowered, they should really think about what your saying! its a V6! in a truck that should have a V8. nobody should complain about no power in the V6 if they test drove it first before they bought it! I traded in a V8 dakota on mine and sure i noticed the power difference, but thats the sacrafice i took when i said i wanted a full size truck without paying a full size price for the hemi! so all im sayin is take into consideration of what the truck is and why you picked it!

I agree, it is silly to buy a V-6 truck if you want to race it. But saying that they have not got enough power is not true at all. We have hauled a 3300lb race car and trailer all over the southeast, thousands of miles and have never had a problem. But it is always nice to try and fix up your truck......................
