Cool cruise control shuts off going down the road

ok last year I bought a 2004 dodge 1500 5.7 hemi and it has a few gremlins that I have to sort out. while going down the road I can turn the cruise control one and it will work for a while or just shut off for no reason the light will just go out and some times it will let me turn it back on but some time it will not. Im not really sure were to start on this one has anyone else experienced this problem. It does not matter if the steering wheel is turn or if the windows are in operation at the time like I have ssen in other threads

replace your brake light switch..... mine did the same thing...this spring.

it was easy for me to tell. as I was pulling a trailer at the time....brake lights became intermittent..... brake lights going ON when brake NOT applied ....

switch is 12 dollars... and 5 minutes to changed... and not tools needed.

Usually has to do with the abs/speed sensor in the bearing hub assembly

agreed. speed sensor inside front wheel bearing assembly.. bearing may be getting ready to fail....

on my 04 Ram v6,, both front wheel bearing went bad at 37,000 miles. same ones used on the v8... 2 and 4 wheel drive...

My drive-by-wire light came on when mine quit working. Could be a possibility. Check connections on the throttle body if that's the case.
