Body vs suspension lift
Body lift - Cheap
Suspension lift - Expensive
Also depends on how high you want to go. What size wheels tires your looking to put on. Many pros and cons to each, but gotta know your plans/budget to properly address your question.

2.5 inch spacer leveling kit? $50.
3 Inch Rough Country kit? $300
4 Inch Rough Country kit? $1,250
I put a body lift on my last dodge ram 3" was $100 bucks (not $300 bucks as the poster above states) only thing that was hard was pulling that thing out for the steering and adding that extender in.if you go body lift get gap gaurds to hide the ugly gap.are you going to offroad the truck in deep mud?if so go suspension lift if its going to be on the pavement go body lift.

Can I chime in?
A body lift will allow you to stuff bigger tires under your rig, which will give you half of the tire increase. For instance, going from a 31" tire to a 35" tire will give you 2" of additional clearance. However, your frame rails only get this 2" as well.
A suspension lift actually drops your axles as well, so the frame rails are lifted too. So a 5" lift will raise your frame up the 5" for better clearance. Then your axles benefit from the increased tire size.
So, the biggest question is why do you want a lift? If you want a showy truck to get groceries and find dates, go with the body lift. If you want to build a truck to go anywhere, save up for a suspension lift. Cheers!
