Source for good fuel injectors?
The 2003 Dodge in my signature I bought with a blown up engine. The #8 piston had a one inch hole blown through it. Everyone I've talked to said they would blame the injector leaking. I rebuilt the engine, and cleaned the injectors the best I could, then ran Sea-Foam through the fuel system. But I don't think it was enough, because under full throttle the check engine light starts flashing. Also, throttle response is great, but after around 1/3 throttle, there's no significant power. So far, I've just been driving with a feather foot. But I am afraid I'm gonna damage another piston. And another thing, I never marked the injectors, so the old #8 injector could be anywhere. So, I want a reasonable source to replace all 10 injectors. I found reman units for around $35 and new Bosch units for $48. So, any thoughts?

My friend, while I deeply appreciate your advice, would you trust this "demon" injector in your engine? One that killed it in a previous life? I tried an ultrasonic cleaner, and I still get the flashing check engine light. I want rid of it. I spent far to much money and far too much time to simply let him die again.

You should check your fuel pressure and the voltage at your injectors. It might not even be your injectors at all.
You can also bench test your injectors although this is a bit far fetched for the ordinary individual.... You can verify the resistance of them though.
Check the coil resistance and the coil pack or distributors operation.
While a Sonic cleaner is good, you can still change the cap/hat out as there may be restriction on the spray holes hindering performance.

You cannot use 87octane or else your going to have detonation and risk ruining the motor. 89oct is Highly recc'd.

So, for the sake of argument, how would one tell a leaking injector? And I thought a flashing MIL meant raw fuel in the catalytic converter?

Call/E-mail them and ask them which injectors they suggest for your application.
Or you could send them your injectors and get them remanufactured.....?
