Default Exhaust Recommendations

Im looking to get some better gas milage. Im not concerned about the sound (dont want it to sound crappy, but dont care if im the loudest on the street either).
Price is probably foremost.
Looks are secondary. I dont like the straight rear exits, I guess I like the Dual side exit pre axle, or the single side rear exit post axle.

Gibson super truck looks real nice, otherwise I guess an econo route would be a flowmaster muffler? Please post experiences in MPG increase on your current systems.

Thanks!

You will not get a mpg increase with an exhaust. That is just marketing BS.

I have said it about a dozen times on this site, I have put about 20,000 miles of hot air through my Gibson Super Truck without a problem and I love it. Best bolt on to date. It changed the look of my truck and the sound/performance. I suggest you get it welded on after you install it yourself. Install is so easy, just sawzall and slide on. Great look, great sound great product in my opinion. --Kevin

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram with the Hemi w/manual transmission. I put headers, full 3 inch exhaust with 2 free flow cats, 50 series flow master (dual inlet-dual outlet) coming out the passenger side in front of tire. true duals and it sounds great everyone loves it

Boswer17 This same question is in the v6 section. You may get the answer your looking for there. I asked the same question some time ago but got sent there and think I found what I was looking for. The post is another 3.7 exhaust question I think.

Borla or Corsa......(magnaflow is good too)

everything else is cheap crap! not to be mean, but gibson, flowmaster, etc are cheap crap.

get something that performs good and has good quality so that it lasts the life of the truck!

you only have to spend the money once.... dont buy something thats cheap and then wish you bought something nicer a year from now!
