Hello, I purchased another truck recently and got a great deal on it and need some advice/guidance to understand the issue or non issue that I think I'm having. I've got a 2003 2500 5.7 with 5 speed NV4500 tranny in it. The transmission shifts pretty rough at times, but for the most part 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th work pretty smooth most the time. 3rd gear seems like I need to jam it in at times, but not as bad as I have had to when I was dealing with syncro issues in other vehicles. So it isn't requiring brute force, but just enough that it bothers me to think something is wrong with it. It does have a noise coming from below the truck that I believe is coming from the tranny and the best way I can describe it is it's the same kind of sound that the valves make if the lifters are messed up on an engine. It clicks and rattles like that. It isn't extremely loud, but loud enough to notice. Maybe the NV4500 for the 5.7 is just a bit noisy? If anyone that has experienced this or knows what this is could share some information to me about it would be great. Thanks!

P.S - It was late last night when I posted. Apologies on the wrong liter of engine lol. Guess I was stuck on the 360 since I was driving my other truck. 5.7 is the mate to the NV4500 tranny.
