Default Lighting options - bull bar trashed by deer

Couldn't decide if this belongs in the tech forum or not, so putting it here anyway. Mod can move it otherwise.

My son now drives my RAM daily. Last year I got him a bull bar and 2 KC lites to mount on it. To mount the bar, we had to remove the plastic insert in the bumper and mount the brackets to the frame (no drill install). A couple of weeks ago he hit a deer but the bull bar was all that suffered, and it is beyond repair. But since it cost me less than my insurance deductible, I'll gladly sacrifice it in place of a new grill and an insurance claim.

We really like the prerunner type bars and found one by NFAB and another by smittybilt but neither are an option because of the Sport trim plastic bumper. So, option B is a light bar or even LED bar mounted in the space in the bumper. Anyone aware of a bracket or mount that would allow an LED bar to be mounted in there without having to drill anything? Or is anyone aware of a no drill install light bar that installs similarly to the bull bar?

you can fab up a mount to make it a "no drill" install otherwise you'll have to figure out how and where to mount the light bar all on your own.

I think weedahoe sells some curved light bars that fit very nicely in that lower black plastic part of the bumper...

I pm'd weed and did find his post about the curved light bars - but I'm still not finding any information on how the mounts attach to that part of the truck.

So ask him... I'm sure he'd be able to take pictures for you of the mounts... the rest would be up to you to figure out.

Have you considered behind the grille lights? Very simple to do and mount. I get pretty good light from mine and they are just cheapo ebay LEDs. I have 4 lights mounted on some left over metal from my garage door install.

Just an idea.
