Buy a Prius. When was its last tune up? Clean the throttle body? What size tires? What are your driving habits? There are alot of variables that can affect fuel mileage.

Any money you spend beyond maintenance will have a long ROI. 12 in the city is 'bout right.

This. It's a truck. My Dodge Ram can haul more drywall and plywood than my Mazda 3 can haul. In turn, my Mazda 3 is a more efficient daily driver.

you can NOT have your cake and eat it too...

weight and cubic inches....

buy a 500 cc motorcycle.

but my 1800cc (110 cubic inches) motorcycle gets 45 mpg... unless I do at it .. then 30.

with the government mandating MPG by fleet.. it is very hard to get better gas mileage...

but I lowered my Ram... 2 1/2 front and 5 in the rear.. helps... 10 years ago.

Thanks guys i was wondering about if fuel additives work or not such as seafoam, ... does system cleaners that get put into the fuel system work as advertised? but i do understand that a small car would be a better daily driver... lol kinda set myself up for that one!

Seafoam has its uses. I use it every year or so, mostly for the cleaning effects. As for mileage improvement, it likely isn't measurable.

I would say the best thing you can do. Keep constant eye on your air pressure. Make sure there always properly inflated maybe go a few psi over recommendation. This will help a little bit. Not going to get you 20 extra miles a gallon though.
