Default 2002 4.7, wrong radiator?

I got a new radiator which has an overflow outlet to the right with a pipe running to the reservoir which was the same setup as my old one. However on my new one there is a small opening which looks like another overflow outlet below the fill up valve. What happens is whenever I turn on the engine, coolant pours out of the second outlet and thus I cannot keep the cooling system filled.

Did I get the wrong radiator or am I missing another pipe that will keep the coolant circulating.

I can take pictures if needed to make more sense.

If your old radiator had nothing connected to that port then that's the wrong radiator. Maybe plug it?

What did you plug it with?

Just don't want it blowing out.

Find a brass or other material plug with threads of the same size. Use Teflon tape to seal the threads.

It had an extra nipple on it like a hose would.I took a piece of hose, stuck a bolt through it and hose clamped it on the radiator and where the bolt went in the hose.Didn't look to good but it worked
