Default Electric window fault.

My drivers side electric window only winds down 25%. Then slows and stops.
It was a bit icy over here and i operated the window and it did move fully downwards.
Only when i tried to wind it fully back uo, did it struggle. I then heard something rattling on i go over bumps in the road behind the door card.
It then only goes this quarter down.
I daren't use it now. Prefering to leave it fully closed until i have time to have a looksee.
Any tips on this before i tear into it would be most welcome.
Cheers.
Al.

Something binding, perhaps. My front windows are a bit slower than the rear ones. It's certainly possible the motors are failing.

Same thing happened to mine a couple days ago. I took the door panel off and saw the window had come out of the track. Just loosened the clamp that holds the window in, inserted the window completely in the clamp, tightened the clamp, installed door panel. Simple fix for me, hopefully its as easy for you.

Yipee!!!
Mine was exactly the same as yours.
20 mins and all fixed.
Lots of silicone lube, put in tracks and mechanisms etc.
Windows super fast.
Awesome.

If anybody's interested?
The door card is removed by firstly taking out 4 cross head screws.
Two at the very bottom of the door card.
One up by the exterior mirror and the other behind and by the door release handle.
Which btw must also be removed, by using a number 40 torx drive to take out the bolt securing it.
Pull the bottom of the door card away from the door slighlty, then push up and pull off.
There are plastic hang on hooks on the back of it, which locate in slots in the back of the door.
Reverse to put back.
