Question 2003-2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Differences

I have a 2004 DR 1500 four door 4x4 that i totaled out recently. all of the damage being done to the rear end of the truck. i just recently bought a 2003 DR 1500 2x4 four door. i plan on taking the engine out of my wrecked 04 and placing it in the 03. i also want to convert the 03 to a 4x4 with the parts from the 04, what i want to know is there and differences body and structural wise, that i could run into that would prevent the conversion?

You'll save in the long run, if you buy another 4 x 4. There are threads on here of those that have done it.

The most simple way would probably be to cut the farm from behind the cab or over the rear axle and attach it to the 4x4 frame. Both truck use completely different front end suspensions. It may even be easier to throw a solid axle up front or something custom of that nature, but then is it even worth throwing that kind of money in a 12 year old truck?
