Smile Idle Air Control valve failure

Hi Guys

Yes, the IAC valve is bound to fail sooner or later, but usually it is manifested in an excessively low idle. Mine seems to be an idle that does not go below 1100 (and closer to 1500 when engine is warm).

Any chance that this could be something else? Any thoughts?

Thanks, fellas

Vacuum leak causes high idle.

You're right. Turned out the IAC valve was fine (now I have 2 of them...) and the problem was a vacuum hose behind the engine that separated when I changed the plugs. Oh well. But thanks for your help.
