Just a short update.

I gave in and took it to the dealership. What a ducking waste that was, of my time and money.

Anyway, since I got it back, I still have no warm air, unless I switch off the blower for about 30 seconds and then when I turn it back on, it blows hot for about ten seconds.

Could one of the blend doors be broken?

Also, I still have the temp gauge issue. I even bought a new coolant temp sensor today, swapped it over and it still does the same thing.

The only positive is that I can drive the truck, it does have enough coolant in it for sure, after more research and I've driven it for miles now without any overheating issues.

Still looking for help on the temp gauge issue though.

When you are filling it, are you also burping the system? My truck did the same thing, without ever overheating, when I changed my t-stat and forgot to burp the air out after filling it back up.
