I’ve got a 2005 Dodge RAM 1500 2wd QuadCab SLT model. I’m in the process of replacing the bumpers. I like the look of the front bumper that came on the sport model as it’s all one piece, instead of 3 separate pieces.

My questions:
Can I install the Sport bumper on a SLT model?
Are the bumper mounts the same?

 

I remember reading a write up either on this site or another and I believe along with the bumper you need the brackets and cross member for the conversion

 

Damn, I was afraid of that. It would be to simple to make them interchangeable. Thanks for the reply, I guess I’ll stick with the black version of the ones I already got.

 

I've thought about this too but figured it would be more than just unbolting the factory steel bumpers and bolting on the sport ones.
