Default Exhaust, headers, cats, y-pipe??? HELP, PLEASE HELP

I have decided to go with the AT3030 or a single in single out magnaflow. Now for the rest of the set up. On my 2005 dodge ram hemi I have the dual out pipes from the engine. It has 2 converters? If I am going to use the stock exhaust pipe please answer these questions:

?1. What are the best price high flow converters to get for the money? Do they void a warranty? Please specify a part number and size? I need to know do I need all parts to have a 3 inch inlet and outlet?

?2. I am going to replace the y pipe as well. I guess what size inlet outlet do i need?

?3. If I get headers, what is the best header for the money, I will admit I know nothing about headers!! I want long headers, with a ceramic coat??? Is that right? If so how about some part numbers, brands, prices, etc. WIll these change the sound?

I am sure more questions will come, but lets start with this. Thanks guys for all of your help.

That's a lot of questions. I think you should educate yourself a little bit before you go blowing a ton of money on parts you don't know anything about. Lots of good information can be found on manufacturers websites. How about getting under your truck and seeing exactly what is under there.

HEMIBUELL,
First off, if money was an issue would I even be buying any of this? Why would it be "blowing" money, are the mods not worth it? Secondly, I have researced as much as I can on my own, and the question was posted to RESEARCH. Where I live, there isnt any knowledge about this type of thing. I have been under my truck too. I thought forums and posts were to find answers to questions that you may have to get answered by someone who knows answer. Obviously your post wasnt any help, so if you dont have any knowledge of my questions, than why even post a reply? But thanks for worrying about my finances for me, but luckily finances arent an issue! If I need someone to help me in the future secure my aquired assets, I will let you know.

BIgLg,
There are a lot of people who post dumb reply's in here, get used to it. I'ts because they don't know anything but try to act like they do, kind of like a Polock.I've gotten them too.
Headers, Hi flow cats, true duals add maybe 20 hp altogether, watch your pipe size if going with true
duals and have a custom y pipe installed and it will be loud inside cab as well as outside. Thats was what i was told by the muffler shop that has some experience with hot rods ,flow rates, etc..

muffler dude told me stock cats are already hi flows, not needed, long tube headers are the best, but loud
inside and out especially with cold air kit, pipes are 2.5" get acustom made y pipe ,don't try and go without a y pipe, lose some torque and it pops like a firecracker when it shift.Probably best bet is 3" inlet
2.5"dual outlet system, you'll pick up a couple hp. and better gas mileage as long as you put on a free flow air filter .alrteady did a lot of that crap to my truck most of it is waste of money but if you don't
care then do it. programmers are big waste of money.Best you can hope for is some better mileage
and a good sound ,other than that it's not going to be significantly torquey'r or lay rubber so thats real world advice and pay attention if you like .later dude...

Well, you were lied too. The stock cat is not high flow...or just not high enough. I tried to use my stock cat but the exhaust build up, flooded my engine. I put the Catco on and the truck runs fine...so
Stock Cat=Flood
Catco Cat=Flow

i assume the dynamax supermax stainless longtubes with high flow cats and y-pipe are pretty good, due to the point that mopar now sells them from there performance catalog. they state a 33 h.p increase with a high flow muffler. only $1600.00

i ran a chevy ss today. he passed me while i was getting on the highway, thought i'd try to catch him, . he hit it and started pulling away, at 90 mph i started closing in. we both were holding open, at 105 he shut it down. he wouldnt look at me when i went by.

i carry about 350 lbs of tools in my truck. so our weight to h.p. is close.

How's that saying go?? "You got to pay to play" I have the Dynamax Supermax Stainless Headers with the Y-pipe, Hi-Flow Cats, FLowmaster Muffler, K&N Cold Air Intake, Superchips, yada....yada...yada....(Superchip just loaded today) And I love how everything works together. The Headers and Intake are a must, you shouldn't have one without the other. The superchip is the iceing on the cake. If you even thought about it you might as well go ahead and do it. Get it all! You won't be truely happy until you do. And you know it

One of those "converters" is, in fact, a "resonator". REMOVE IT COMPLETELY when you do your exhaust work. It will sound much better without it.
