Edelbrock headers
Anyone running the Edelbrock headers on their Hemi? I am looking at part number EDL-66792 on www.summitracing.com Looking to find out how hard they were to install and if you have any dyno numbers of before and after?
I also have to make a return trip to the dealer. I was told once headers would void the warranty, but I want a second opinion....

No experience with the Edebrock, but if they are short-tubes they won't do that much. Go with the longest tubes available for low and mid-range grunt.
As for voiding warranty, who told you this? There is a specific law (name escapes me at the moment) that SEMA helped get passed that allows aftermarket parts to be added and not automatically void warranties. To void the warranty the aftermarket part would have to have been the cause of the problem.
Hope this helps. If you want the name of the law, I'm sure google will produce it, if not, go to corvetteforum.com and do a search in the C-5 section on warranty and I'm sure that will bring it up.
However, unless the new header has a C.A.R.B number you may be dead in the water for emissions inspection, depending on where you live and how they inspect. The states are too variable to say unless, of course, you live in Kaliforneeya--no C.A.R.B., no play. And, I know of no long-tubes with C.A.R.B.
All the best.

Well I have the Edelbrocks and I think there pretty damn good. You can feel and hear the engine kick up after you hit 4000rpms. It feels sooooo good and soooo loud!!!! Make sure you get a new cat if you decide to get them. I went with a Catco(cheap), but it gets the job done. The install is a bitch...no matter how good a mechanic you are. They say if you remove the front wheel well things its easier, but thats some BS. Just be perpared to spend all day under your truck. And make sure you have small hands...it gets tight under there. Anyway, good luck and happy motoring!
