EVAP Leak-
Had one for awhile just have not jumped under the truck but expect to find some hoses cracked etc.. When it's above 50 out I get the evap error code. When it gets cold out it goes away...
Question tho- Noticed today and it's cole no check engine, after truck was idling two yellow rings of snow under it. Looks and smells like gas. Not towards the sides more under the truck...
Gas mileage sucks getting 10-11.. thought that was normal but now it has me thinking... 2004 1500 Regular Cab 4.7L This is the basic ST work truck...
any insight from the geniuses would be appreciated-

Sounds like the evap canister hoses. They are horse shoe shaped. Save yourself more headaches and just go buy some fuel-rated hoses and some clamps. You'll need 2 different sizes and a connector. There is a post somewhere on the web that shows exactly what you need and how to do it. Good luck!

Yep, Dodge has always used the cheapest hose clamps I've ever seen. I routinely replace with better ones in any area of a Chrysler vehicle I'm working in at the time.
I have a "map" of the entire evap system in the FAQ section might help you.
