Default my new 2006 ram 1500

ok, i ordered my truck on 7.8.2005 and have been waiting patiently since then.
monday i was told by my dealer that the configuration could not be built until after
the first of the year. (conflict with laramie wheels and electronic shift on the fly)
i changed the wheel to the 20'S and the system has accepted my order!! i was status
C - (sub firm) yesterday. i called this morning and i have been moved to status D.
(firm schedule - dealer has allocation and all parts available) it looks like i may eventually
get my truck!!! i will post any updates as i get them.

Hey that's great news for you. I'm sorry I did not get that 800 number for you like I said I would in another of your post, but I did find out another tid bit of info that may help understand your delay. I believe you said you have had your VIN number for awhile right? If the very first number =1, then your truck is made in USA[sm=americanasmiley.gif]. 2 = Canada and 3 = Mexico. This actually means where the final assembly occurs, the parts all come from where those specific parts come from. I believe our trucks have parts made from all three countries, but are only assembled in USA or Mexico. I know that the USA plant builds orders much quicker than south of the border. The other thing that afects build time is if your order is by itself or if its tied into a dealership order. Mine is tied to the dealership. Ordered 10-15-05, build starts 10-31-05, and scheduled ship date to Illinois from Michigan on 11-11-05. Hopefully your truck will not see any more delays!!!
