It is imported here into the UK to be fair.
But I use a good quality synthetic available here in the UK. It's used in Mercedes and BMW's so it should be good.
That runs at about $45 for 5 ltrs so that's not too bad.
I have read on the US sites that our Mobile #1 is of a higher quality than available in the US.
dunno how true that is??

I've been running Royal Purple now for 11,000 Miles, doing my oil change this week lol Wal Mart has it for $8.32 a Quart for 5w-30!. I switched from Mobile1 Synthetic and to me the Hemi tick seems a little louder! (maybe just in my head), but I believe my Hemi tick is actually a leaky exhaust manifold as it sounds like a quiet version of my header leak on my 97 Ram.

I NEVER had any issues with Mobile1 and switched to Royal Purple just to try it and have no complaints, not sure if I felt any power gains as most people claim but it seems to be holding up great. After switching to RP I seen an independent test on oils to test their thermal & lubrication abilities and Mobile1 did near bottom of the list leaving the test metal with a pretty big score & burn mark while Royal Purples test metal had a polished tiny score mark on it but not discolored and was rated the top of all the oils tested. Personally it made me feel a lot better about spending the extra money on Royal Purple, especially when I floor it just to feel the G's & hear the Hemi open up.

I run a Fram Xtra Guard High Mileage Filter with the Royal Purple as well and No Problems, ran nothing but them for years with no problems. I know people hate on Fram because of a post years ago that showed the Fram Filter looking like crap on the inside with a bunch of debris, but seriously I think I'd WANT my filter to look like crap, that means its doing its job and that crap isn't inside the engine!. With that said my oil is clean and pressure remains great! I'm not easy on my vehicle, having a regular cab Hemi truck with Superchips, Exhaust & Intake means just about every gas truck even with minor mods and some diesels without programmers are its lunch (Have a healthy collection of dash cam vids of it giving hell to Ford & Chevs).
