Default Battery issues

Well I went to start my truck today, it was completely dead. Wouldn't unlock from the keyfob and no lights. Jumped it, ran it around a bit, shut it off. Wouldn't start. I'm puzzled. The battery is bairly two years old! So I went to Sears and bought a charger. Charged it up. Read 12v when it was fully charged. Hooked it back up and it struggled to start, repeated it 3 or 4 times and it struggles to start. I checked the alternator and it was reading 14-13.9 so it's still good. Anyone had a problem with a Costco battery? Also, does your ram have a blanket around the battery? I don't mean a heated one just a standard one. I believe mine had one but I took it off, started to fall apart after 100k?
Anyways, I'll be headed to Costco tomorrow to try to Swap this one out if not get my money back. Any suggestions for battery brands if I get my money back? The second was from the dealer, then I descided do go with a Costco brand for some reason. Thanks!!

a charged battery should read 13.5 or higher.

bad connection... at battery, at frame, at starter...

Made by Man.. can fail at anytime. .. even New... that is why warranties are issued.
otherwise replacement parts would NEVER be needed....

Did you read at the battery connections as well? If the alternator is putting out 14, the battery should be seeing that as well. If not, agree wioth above. Bad connection, wire, corrosion, etc. If all thats good, could be a bad cell in the battery.

Switched it out for an interstate battery. Hooked it all up ready to go. We'll see how long this one lasts!!

My 3 year walmart everstart battery, bought in 2008 finally gave up just last December. 6 years out of a 3 year battery....I replaced it with the exact same thing.
