Default front control module

hey guys

2004 ram 2500 hemi

what all does the fcm control?

i know headlights, tail lights, and parking lights, wipers, and gauges.

does it control the amp for the infinity system also?

my wipers, no matter what only run one speed, except for high. no intermittent at all.

my dash speakers work well, loud and clear, but my door speakers you can barely hear.

my oil psi gauge has also been on the fritz lately. it wont register, but if i turn the truck off and turn it back on, its fine.

just did an oil change also, 6qts mobil 1, with a qt of rislone, and a purolator pure one filter.

Common problem with the wipers. Check the motor connections and possibly change the multi switch

Replace your radio

Replace your oil pressure switch

Multi switch has already been replaced. Oil psi switch is fine. It just started doing this the other day.

Radio works fine, other speakers work, but need to adjust balance and/or fade...

Which is why I asked about the fcm.

FCM neither controls the wipers for the oil press gauge.

However, there are several threads in the wipers not working or erratically due to the multifunction switch or corroded motor contacts.

In every thread oil pressure switch related, the $10-15 of pressure switch by the oil filter has been the culprit

the fcm does indeed control some of the wipers. controls the high/low relay, the park switch, and the wiper on/off relay.

so yes, it could be the wiper motor, but it also could be the fcm.

i found my info in the service manual.

as for the speakers, and oil pressure issue.

the fcm controls the gauges, so ill replace the switch, and go from there.

im planning on putting the kenwood cd player into the new truck, so we will see if it fixes the speaker issue...
