2003 ram 1500 4.7 lower radiator hose blew out
The hose blew out without me noticing and didn't realize until my truck shut down from over heating. I replaced the hose and filled it with water. It's holding the water, no spray coming out of the exhaust, no water in my oil, doesn't sound like my head gasket is leaking. The only problems are that it has a major loss in power right now, it won't even hold an idle, I thought maybe it fried the spark plus so I replaced those, still no better. When it overheated it also blew apart some rusty connections on my tail pipe, but I dint think the loss in back pressure would keep it from holding an idle, I could be wrong though. My best guess is that maybe the coils are fried?? Please help.
what over pressured the cooling system..
the release valve in the radiator should have vented the pressure... 15 psi.
possibly need to get compression test on all cylinders...
possibly dropped a valve. cracked a piston...
