Hi, I noticed under the hood there is a sticker from Dodge that says the ECU was reflashed in 06 I believe, What may have been the reason for this? The truck has the 5.7 Hemi. Thanks

Will this cause any issues if I want to get a Programmer?

 

Probably due to a TSB or recall.

 

Could have been just to update the pcm also.with newer updated software

Not uncommon for manufacturers to have re flashes.

 

Ok, I just wasn't sure if there was some sort of update that was issued for the 04 Rams. When they re flash does it get like the 06 Program or do they just make a change to the 04 program?

 

They will update the 04 program. Its kinda like going from window 8 to 8.1.

 

If it was reflashed by a dealer, you should be okay, but you never know. I bought my 04 new off the lot and never had it anywhere that it would have been flashed for anything. But several years ago, I bought and tried a Superchips programmer for it and it would never load a program because it was saying the current settings were not stock. After going round and round with Superchips, trying different things, I finally gave up and just sold the programmer.
