I just hook one wire to the positive terminal on the battery and one to the negative then hook the corresponding wires to the positive and negative on the fan connector?

 

what if im not getting any power to the fan. I've checked the fuse and relay and they are fine. I've ran a jumper wire from battery to fan and runs fine. I've checked for power at the fan plug while compressor is running and nothing. Tapped on fan with hammer while compressor is running and nothing. I'm lost on what to do.
