It will physically bolt in, but that's where the easy part ends. You (like me) have the worst year for hemi custom tuning. Your stock exhaust manifolds will be port mismatched with the 6.1 heads (unless it's just a short block and you're using your stock 5.7 heads). LX shorty header manifolds don't fit in the truck chassis. The 5.7 intake manifold wil be port mismatched with the 6.1 intake ports (unless, like mentioned before, using stock heads). If you tru to use an eagle or 6.1 intake you'll have to convert the accessory drive and swap in an electric fan for the front mount throttle body. Then there is the aforementioned tuning issue. You can probably get it to run ok on a Superchips tune but you'd be leaving alot on the table.

Okay I hear what your sayin I'm not really looking to invest while lot of money on something that kinda like a gamble was only interested because a few people said it would be easy and that the 6.1 hemi is an upgrade to the 5.7 hemi but not looking for a project either was just wanting to know if it was an easy swap

If you take the 6.1 short block and put your 5.7 heads on (Indy actually sells a budget crate engine like this) then you will have an easy direct swap. If you keep the 6.1 heads on it you've more work ahead of you.
