Engine oil pan gasket ???

I have a small oil leak from the engine oil pan. Appears to be the gasket. Question is, in order to remove the engine oil pan, does the engine need to be lifted a little, just off the mounts to allow enough room between the pan and front crossmember ?
My truck is a 2003, Ram, 4.7, Auto Crewcab..
