I dunno--it doesn't say anywhere in there that it's ATF+4 compatible. According to the parts dept at the dealership I asked, the ATF+4 is designed to absorb the extra heat the newer trannies put out, so the earlier +3 and other fluids will burn and cause failure. As you've found, the only place I've been able to find +4 is at the dealer.
I don't know if the +4 story is BS or not, but you'd sure hate to be screwed with something going wrong in the tranny with the wrong fluid in it. Maybe you can email Red Line and get it from them in writing that it'll work, so you're covered. I'm ready for my tranny change and just going to bite the bullet and use the dealer +4.

yeah but it says it works for the mercedes trannys and i thought thats what the new dodges had, well if no ones used it i guess ill stick with the ATF4
I would go with the ATF4. Yeah it is more $$ but for no more often than it gets changed it would be worth it. That way if it works you are safe and if something goes wrong the dealership can't say you used the wrong fluid and try to make you eat the cost of a tranny.
