Default 22' tires

i have a set of 22 inch wheels on my 03' quad cab, i'm getting ready to lower it(2-4), i decided to run 285-35-22 for tires because i didn't want it to rub. do you think i could go with a 305-40 and still not rub? i also like the 285's because if i go through mud or dirt road it doesn't cover my truck, what do you all think? thanks!

You will be fine running a 305/40/22 on a 2/4 drop....I have a custom built 3/5 with 305/40/22's and never rub....If I can figure out how to post pics I will...

have u ever rode in a old wagon? no ,it's not that bad. i have 2 inch drop shackles on it right now , so it rides kind of ruff but it cornes like a sports car. my buddies own a rim shop and ive been talking to them about swapping my tires for a set of 305-40-22 cooper zeon's. i had a set of 275-45-20 's in the zeons and i loved them. i think the 305-45's have way to much side wall. my buddies put a set on a new 4 wheel drive and they filled in the wheel wells good, but on the 2 wheel drives i think it takes away from the look of the rim. the 45's look better on suv's. but, thats what i think.

those wheels are sick!! my buddy has a set just like them on a his chevy aval.. yours looks good i like it. the more lambo doors i see the less i like them. i'd pull the hemi sport of the back to,but thats me. i tell everybody customize it how u want it, @#ck what others think!! as soon as you change something , somebodies going to do what they told u they didn't like.
i have a set of pacer 942's in a 22', i was the first to have the black rims on a truck or suv around here, now everybody has them. so i switched it up and went back to chrome. i'm really wanting the 24' but i'd hate to by tires for it every year or 2.

I have 305/40/22s on my truck, with about a 2/5.5 drop. 99% no problem, but I have rubbed the front wheel wells a couple times on high speed dips when having some fun in some curves. Most driving there are no issues.

I have a set of 285/45/22 Nitto 420S on my 2002 1500 Q.C. 4x4. I love the tire. I think it would work on your 2wd as well. I am selling the set because I am going with a lift and 325/50/22 Nitto Terra Grapplers. I have only had them for about 5,000 miles and rotated them at 3,000 miles. These aren't as quite as wide as the 305 series tires so you have less chance of rubbing. It is about a 32inch tire in overall diameter. If anyone is interested, let me know. I want to give this a chance first beofre putting them on eBay.
