supercharger question
i just did the superchip and very happy with it on performace mode. now im looking to do the gs motorsports charger. has anybody done it and what about the big boost upgrade kit. is it worth it. and what about the srt10 killer upgrade. If i do all three blower, big boost, srt killer package what will it do to releyiblity
what can i see for real power numbers.
thanks

I have done all of it and love it, but that is only the first part. you must change out the rear and springs to keep the power to the ground. I went to a 5 link and a dana 60 rearend with 4 shockmounts. by time its all said and done I have well over 10k in this. the best part I still get 17.5 mpg avg. take to work most days and wax a few vettes along the way I say get it Good Luck
Though I do not have the application you ask about, I've spent my life successfully building, driving, and racing supercharged and turboed vehicles. I currently have two street aps (one a Kenne Bell and the other a Vortech, with a new Paxton on the shelf in my shop) and a race twin-turbo.
One thing I'd recommend when considering any such project, is to find a completed example like you are considering and at the least ride in it, even if it takes a significant trip to do so. Perceptions of critical variables, like driveability and serviceability, differ dramatically and I think with this kind of outlay the extra effort is worthwhile. Forums like this are great for finding such opportunities. For example, where are you in relationship to "2avoid?" Would he or someone similar consent to show-off his truck?
As to effect on reliability, there are many factors involved, not the least of which is the adequacy of the computer rework, i.e., the actual tune. Not only is it critical to get plenty of fuel to the beast at the right times for reliability, but also for driveability. You DO NOT want it going lean, especially under boost (load). How you use, drive, and maintain the truck affects reliability, as with any vehicle--just more so.
As for the suspension mods, they are certainly desireable, but unless one is going to drag-race (either on the strip or street), they are not essential. One can have LOTS of fun with a boosted vehicle and not destroy the rest of the drive-train. I know!
Or, one can do the mods in stages.
Let us know what you do, and all the best.

i plan on doing the blower first, then upgrade to big boost and srt killer. but before i do anything i will first set up the truck to handle the newly added power. ie suspention, rear end. Is there anybody who makes a kit for the suspension? i know boosted cars are fun i have two porsches a 944 turbo and a 911 turbo both making almost 500 hp at the engine. you can say i have an obsesion with hp. I know turbo cars you can very easly make power by increasing boost to a point then u need bigger injectors, timing, internals ect.
does anybody have pics of suspention upgrades: email me

Just read your latest post, Turbospeed440. Yeah, you know the drill!
Many here don't realize what they are getting into and have no experience with boosted vehicles. You obviously DO. Have you driven supercharged cars on the street (as opposed to turbos)? If not, I think you'll like... a lot!!!!
Have fun.

It's not so much what the engine can handle, but how you have your setup dialed in. You can destroy a bottom end w/ just a small amount of boost and too aggressive of a tune. Don't get greedy, and make sure you use a reputable and experienced tuner for your specific app. That is, unless tuning yourself, of course.
