Hey guys, trying to install a JSM HID kit on my brother's 2005 1500 Ram. If you simply connect all the harness to the factory plugs, then connect the ballasts and bulbs the bulbs just flash on and off and the lamp out light flashes. Has anyone installed a set of HIDs on their truck>??? Did you run into this problem>??? Maybe we need to take power directly from the battery>??? I am unsure and kind of stuck. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, -Mat-

 

theres a light out because HID only can run on LOW or the HIGH beam. HID is only one beam, no low or high.

i was looking into installing a set into my truck, but i hear that if they check your truck and you have those HID's installed your warrenty can be revoked.... thats why i didnt go ahead with it. But what iv also read is that the lamp out will be out. cuz it wont detect the high beam.

 

I ran into the same problem. I thought it was the ballaset or the ignitor but I think it's something to do with the wiring. What I had to do was hook it up to my fog lights. the only way to turn them on is when you pull the light swith to the fog light position. it took me awhile to figure this out. but it looks great now. By the way get ready to get pulled over. they are really really bright. I have a 8k kit. i hope this helps

 

I ran into the same problem of the Hid lights not working. what should I do? There is only one single beem on the Hids. and i cant even get the lights to come on. How did you hook it up to the fog lights?
