Default motor knock 2003 4.7 L Magnum. Best Solution?

Hi, I own a 2003 Dodge ram 1500. It's got the 4.7 L Magnum engine in it. Since the day i bought it used about 3 months ago it's had a Motor know. Not sure what it is but I'm wondering what the best solution would be. i've tried motor honey and lucas oil engine smoother but it always seems to come back. Very bad when i first start it in the morning. Just wanted to hear some input. wondering what yall think would be the best solution either buying new or used or trying to fix.

Are you sure it's a motor knock and not simply the exhaust manifold banging off the block due to a sheared bolt? Very common...

Yeah i'm pretty sure it's a motor knock. i've been told it's either a bent push rod or a flat spot on a rocker. Which if it is a flat spot on a rocker than i'm sure it's already damaged a cam.

well right but for one i'm not really a mechanically inclinded person and it's also my only vehicle, and i work a full time job so i don't really have time to dig into it. And god knows how much it would cost for an actual mechanic shop to take a look at it let alone fix it.

Well let's just get a few questions answered.

Does the knock get louder, or quieter, or not change when the engine warms up?

Does it ever go away?

Open the hood and listen on top, then stick your head down under the engine. Is it louder on top or on the bottom?

While you're looking around the engine, take a look at the exhaust manifold bolts. Are any missing? The exhaust manifold is the long tube bolted to either side of the engine, just below the top of the wheel well.

The 4.7 is an SOHC engine, meaning it has two camshafts, one on top of each head, that directly interacts with the rockers. There are no pushrods to bend.

Here's whats under the 4.7 valve covers

The fact you've been told it could be a bent pushrod on an OHC engine tells me whoever is telling you doesn't know their a$$ from a hole in the ground.

I'd still check those rearward exhaust manifold bolts first...
