Default Shift solenoid testing

Can anyone help with with the testing procedure for the solenoid pack out of the vehicle. P0700 stuck in limp mode fluid is pristine. The trans does not slip and is stuck in 2004 5.7 . I have no prev knowledge of the trans operation had a blown eng and I just finished installing new one .

1) download a free copy of the service manual that is linked in my signature below and go through it to see if there is something that will help. I would ask you need a StarScan tool but I might be wrong.

2) take the truck to a shop that specializes in transmission work and let them do a full and free diagnostics. Most trans shops will do this at no charge.

Overview, almost every P0700 code I have seen needed a full rebuild or replacement. Hope you got that truck really cheap.

Thanks for the link The trans will shift normal I put a new solenoid pack in it that was supposed to be rebuilt it worked fine for about 3 miles trans tight no slipping then dropped back into limp now it's throwing a 0750 only so I'm going to try another pack that is new see what happens.

Yep, changing the solenoid pack 3 years ago fix the problem fo me.
