Default Fog Light Switch questions

I am in the process of replacing the stock bumpers with aftermarkets on my truck.
Part of the upgrade is to add fog lights (PIAA 530 LED).

My truck is a 2006 2500 SLT MegaCab, the fog light wiring harness is in place, but no fog lights, and I have the original non-fog light switch.

I have purchased the switch that incorporates Fog light control, and plan to use the stock harness for the lights.

Will I need to visit the dealer to enable the switch (or any other bits) or can I simply swap the switch and hook up the wires to the new lights?

My other concern is that since they are LED am I going to get Check Lamp codes?

Inquiring minds want to know....

Thanks!
Andy

OK, I read the HID thread (or parts of it anyway), and learned that the Fogs are not on the canbus, that's good news! Answers one of my questions.

Anyone know if I can swap the non-fog for Fog enabled light switch without having to visit the dealer for programing?

I've always heard on CAN bus vehicles they have to be enabled. I was messing with my StarScan on my Charger and was able to disable them completely. Then I reenabled them as export so they stay on with the high beams.

Thanks for the replies!
I finally got around to swapping the switch.
Appears to be working perfect, all the lights work as expected, dash indicator comes on for fogs (not yet installed, waiting for new bumper). No can bus issues.. *whew*

What a pain to get to the back side of the switch!
