I just purchased this truck I tried finding out what service it had done to it. All I could find out was what was on the carfax. TCM & Comp. reprogramed

Now Im planning to service most fluids
Im trying to locate torque specs for the following

Tranny pan bolts specs
Diff. pan bolts specs
type of tranny
spark plug Gap upper .039 Lower .051 is this correct?

Any help would be definitely appreciated...Thanks

Pan bolts - 105 in/lbs, probably. Diff pan: 25 ft/lbs. Tranny is probably a 545. Plug gap will be on a sticker under the hood.

factory manual for the 5.9L is 30ft/lbs for spark plugs and gaped to .040 I am not sure what the 5.7L is, it is likely the same.

Good luck.

I did see that, I looked up that manual for you on eBay and it was for 2002-08 so I was thinking it could be similar.

The 4.7 is 20ft/lbs and .040 gap
The 3.7 is 20ft/lbs and .042 gap

I would guess it is right in line with the 5.9L

NO!! The Hemi has aluminum heads. Max torque is 15 ft/lbs. Better to do hand-tight plus about three degrees.

My info from dodge was 15 ft/lbs on the spark plugs for the 08 4.7L. It has aluminum heads but, I don't really think torque is the way to go. Those plugs have sealing rings and the best method for that type of spark plug are quarter to half turn past sealing ring contact with the head. Whats tricky with these heads is having a "good feel" for the spark plug bottoming out against the head which is impossible to visually verify. I'll admit most of my years of experience are on motorcycles but that's my two cents.

I appreciated everyones input...

Im starting on my diff fluid change manual says cover bolts @30 ft lbs

does anyone know if its a one step torque to 30 or 2 step torque 1st to 15 or 20 wait for so long then to 30 ft lbs
The other question is does it mater to warm that fluid up for draining?
Thank you
