Default Super Chips/Going to dealer question

I took my 2007 Ram in to the dealership to get the horn switch replaced tomorrow. My question is should I have put the computer back to stock for this or am I ok? Also, will disconnecting the battery effect the tune?
Sorry for the questions but I'm new to having a tuner.

You're out of warranty. Don't worry about it. Disconnecting the battery will not affect it. If for some reason it does, no biggie, reload the tune.

But I thought if they connect their computer at the dealer It will screw up the trucks computer when it has a tune installed.

Don't know why they would connect to the obd port to change a horn switch. If you are concerned, go back to stock and reinstall the tune later.

That's all I was concerned about, I wasn't sure if they would have to hook up to the computer or not. That makes me feel better. Thanks

Because sometimes they'll plug in to see if there are software updates available for your vehicle. If they do a software flash while your tuning is installed it will over write it and you'll have to pay to get your tuner reset.

Ah, did not think about that...but if you have a handheld, you can reinstall the tune afterwards.
