Have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 St Hemi the "lamp out" light keeps coming on and the "gong" sounds, but cannot find any lights that are not functioning. I do notice that the right hand turning signal blinks very rapidly compared with the left. Could that be an indicator of an issue that needs to addressed in relation to that idiot light constantly coming on?

Usually indicated that the side that rapidly blins is the one that has a filament open.

Go to Autozone and ask for a tail lamp circuit board. Replace it. Less than $20 bucks and a common issue on the early 3rd Gen trucks.
