Default 5.7 Swap happening very soon, building parts list

My list so far

Engine
Engine Harness
Gas Pedal Assy
Y-Pipe
Engine mounts
PCM (Flash at a dealer?)

Anything else?

Everything but the engine I can get from the local A&B Truck Recycling center. The engine I'm looking at is on Ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-7L-Hemi-Engine-33K-Non-MDS-EGR-Non-EGR-VIN-D-2-Ram-Durango-/301757719869?vxp=mtr&hash=item464229653d
But I'm open to other options for the engine. I'd like to be in under or at $3,000 for this project.

In case you're wondering, my engines blown the head gasket and developed a knock of sorts. If it's coming out a 4.7 certainly isn't going back in. I've got a brand new 545RFE in it I just put in less than 4,000 miles ago so good to go there.

Edit - I *could* get the engine from A&B as well, but I'd rather have a new/reman/warrantied unit.

So, you aren't selling now?

No one likes to get involved with 'Fantasy lists' which is why I bring this up.

I pooped a little when I went around to the dealers and saw the prices of new trucks. I'll be keeping it for a few years. I promise you this isn't a fantasy list. My original plan was to buy a donor vehicle for the swap however 1.) There's nothing low miles in California at auction and 2.) Anything outside of California isn't CARB certified, plus shipping from out of state was going to cost me $1,600.

Hemi Engines for the most part are bulletproof so don't make things more expensive than they need to be by getting a new engine, Get a used 05-08 non MDS Hemi and just make sure you put new intake gaskets and permatex them in and you'll be guarded against water entering the engine causing hydrolock broke connecting rods (which is the most common cause of Hemi con rod failures in Durangos and Rams). If you're smart you can find a good Hemi for around $1500 or less. If you get an 04 Hemi just buy new valve springs and you should be good to go ;-) The bottom ends on the Hemi are beasts.

Btw, if you want an actual warranty say good bye to swapping anything for less than $3000. However most junkyards should be happy to give you a 30 day warranty or longer if you pay a small fee. Food for thought, I paid $3000 for my Hemi Ram.

When you say good hemi do you mean just the engine or an entire donor vehicle?

Edit - I've been in communication with this guy, I can have this in my possession this weekend. Hes down to $2500. Engine is original.

Prismatic, my truck was stolen 13 mo ago. I had looked every day since, vehicles here in NM well they think their sh*# is "Gold" reason is their is no competition and they jack up their prices soo high..I searched here in NM, then,..started looking in other states, like AZ, Co. el Paso, LV until beginning of Jan. wife spotted a nice truck right over the border in Co. 70500 mi. BigHorn I said its time. I purchased it..The truck is in mint condition although I was seriously looking to go to LV 550mi away. something you may want to consider. Co, NM does run an emissions

I mean engine alone. Theres a guy in my town selling a Hemi for $1700 with 80,000 on it. Now jumkyards could sell you a harness and computer for a $100 and with all odds & ends no more than $300.

No I didn't tell him what my plans for it were. I can probably unload the body for $4-$500, the wheels and tires for another $150, unload my 4.7 as a core for $200. I can see myself coming in well under $2,000 even if he wont budge off $2500
